Antique Clocks

Instructions On Operating Your Clock:

To better help you to understand and set up your clock, we have added the following reference. Nothing can be more frustrating than having a seemingly uncooperative clock. These instructions should drastically simplify the process of setting up and operating your clock for you!

Condition Terminology:

Our descriptions are as complete and detailed as practical to give you a realistic idea of each item and its condition. Most of the items show some signs of use, however, this is normal considering that the average age of these Pocket Watches is in excess of 100 years! We hope that this brief listing of the terminology we use, will better help you understand the watches you are looking at, and make your buying experience more pleasurable!

Types of Vienna Regulators:

Also, we have a listing of the different styles of Vienna Regulators that have been made throughout the years. While the years of the different styles and periods may vary from source to source, this will give you a good basic overview. Also, the pictures in the examples that I cite from the different periods, are examples of clocks that are actually available on either our Home Page or in our Museum.

Empire Period - Biedermier Period - Late Biedermier

Miniatures - Transitional - Serpentine

Second Baroque - Altdeutsch - Jugendstil
