Hello, and thank you
for taking the time to look at our listing!

This very unique clock has four 3" dials that are covered with beveled glass and has a brass bezel on each side facing four directions. Two of the dial are 12 hour dials with Roman numerals, the other two dials are 24 hour dials. The two 12 hour dials each have Henry Marc's name on them and the two 24 hour dial are written in Arabic numerals. The glass on all four dials is beveled. This unique clock is designed to look like a lighthouse, even down to the sides of the wooden case being engraved to look like bricks or 'shingles' on each side. The clock even has railings just underneath all four dials, so they go all the way around the clock. The clock is in mint condition and stands 16" tall by 7.5" square at the bottom. There is also a finial on the top of the clock.

As is shown on the 12 hour dials, the clock was sold by Henry (HRY) Marc. Monsieur Henry Marc was a Parisian Jeweler, and retailer of fine clocks and watches, much like his later contemporary Tiffany & Co. in New York. The firm is extant today in Geneva as well as Paris.

Rare and unusual French movement with original English lever escapement contained within the base of the clock driving a shaft through the center of the clock with a bevelled drive working the four dials. The movement is on the bottom of the clock and is revealed by removing the metal cap. By removing the cap, the platform escapement is visable, as well as the winding arbor and where you set the time in the center of the movement. All of the dials are in perfect shape, except for one that has a very small hairline. The clock is all original, including the beveled glass. Also, the clock comes with its own key to wind the clock and to set the time.

The price for this piece is $3,500.00.
