A 20-Size Stem Winding Watch for A Large Pocket!

Circa 1900

A Good Dial With An Original Hand Painting!

Great Shape!

Runs Well & Keeps Good Time for a Watch of Its Age

You Don't See Many Of These At All, If Any!

Hello, and thank you
for taking the time to look at our listing!

This 20-size watch was made circa 1900, weighs in at a whooping 7 ounces (!) and bears no makers mark nor any makers name. The dial is in very good condition, but you can see evidence of where the posts are to attach the dial to the movement. In the year 1917, someone painted a ship on the dial and an arch going over the seconds bit which has "USA" on one side and the year "1917" on the right side. I guess the romantic in me would like to think that an immigrant to the US painted the dial on their way over from some distant shore to see the Statue of Liberty and to start a new life, full of hopes & dreams!!!

Overall, the case is in very good condition. Some minor scratches to the sides and back. But the interior is just as shiny as if it was made yesterday. To the right hand side of the stem is a button you depress to set the time. The movement is very clean, like it was just made!! And to be quite honest, the watch runs very well and keeps good time. After all, isn't that just what you expect from a watch?

Please be sure to look at the pictures at the end of the text to see more shots of this Pocket Watch!!

The price for this piece is $550.00
