An 18 Size Elgin Natl' Pocket Watch
With 13 Jewels In a Coin Silver Hunter's Case!

Serial#: 1,332,694                        Circa: 1883                                               (Over a 125 Years Old!!)

Case: 18 size, Coin Silver Hunter's Case, the case has a very decorative design on the front, which looks as if it was brand new!! The case springs have slipped, so you need to help the front cover to open just a bit.

Dial: An Absolutely Perfect White Porcelain Dial with Black Roman Numerals, single sunk second's bit, Spade hands, with "Elgin Natl' Watch Co." written on the dial.

Movement: 13 jewels, KW/KS Set, Lever Escapement, Full Gilded Brass Plates.

Professional Opinion: This Coin Silver Pocket Watch is in absolutely MINT condition and still works as if it were made yesterday! The only slight fault, is that the springs for the front cover needs to be adjusted, which is typically about a $50 job (which I can get done for you at cost, I just didn't have the time before I listed the watch). After that, you'd have a perfectly mint watch, which is roughly 125 years old, and will feel like it's brand new!! Don't let this one slip you by!!

Hello, And Thank You
For Taking The Time To Look At Our Listing!

Just As A Note, The Watch Is Running Fine, Keeping Good Time, And Should Provide Many More Years Of Excellent Service!!

The front of the Case is in PERFECT condition! All details are sharp & crisp! The engraving looks as if it were made yesterday! What more could you ask for?

The dial is perfect in every way, i.e. NO cracks, chips, hairlines, or anything to mar the dial!!

The bezel swings from the numeral VI to XII or it swings up, as you hold it. It swings up very smoothly, is hinged on the top and the crystal is made from glass! Just imagine looking at this perfect & easy to read dial and these sleek and slender Spade hands whenever you looked at your watch!!

13 Jewels, KW/KS Set, Lever Escapement, Full Gilded Brass Plates, written on mvmt is "G.M. Wheeler" & then "Elgin, Ill, Pat Pinion & the Serial Number, 1332694", the balance wheel moves so swiftly, that it's motion is a blur and finally the movement has a Stick Regulator, extending over a Silver Plate.

The movement is very clean and is truly a work of art, especially after 125 years! The watch keeps time very accurately and is a joy to carry!

The Balance Wheel has such great speed that it's simply a blur, even at the speed the camera catches it at! This shows you what great shape the watch is in!!

The back of the case is in excellent condition and hardly even shows any scuff marks after a Century and a Quarter!!

As is shown in this picture, the case is comprised of Coin Silver, which was initially made from cutting down Silver coins (a very illegal process!), which were comprised of 0.800 Silver.

Well, that's all I can say. The Photos will tell you what you really want to know about the watch anyway, at least that's what I focus on first!

The price for this piece is $425.00

This Pocket Watch would make a very nice gift to that special someone, even if that "special someone" is you and your own collection!!

The picture was taken on Ford Island, which is the land mass in the middle of
Pearl Harbor, Hawai'i. Ford Island is better known as the home for "Battleship Row".
The sneak attack on Pearl Harbor was centered on Battleship Row.
My canine "Son" shown in this picture is called "Verge", after the Verge Escapement!
