16 size Elgin With a Gilted Movement
& a Western Picture on the Dial!


Serial#: 18,992,818                        Circa: 1915

Case: 16 size, Open Face, Solid Nickel Case, a completely plain case with no scratches, dents or dings!

Dial: There is a Western scene, probably of a Cattle Drive, on the Dial, Single sunk, Arabic numerals with Red numerals for the 5 minute markers, Spade hands, and signed "Elgin".

Movement: 7 jewels, Gilt Movement, Lever escapement, Stem set, 3/4 plate, signed; "Elgin Nat'l Watch Co. USA; Seven Jewels".

Professional Opinion: A beautifully Gilted movement and a very serene scene of a 'Cattle Drive' on the dial all combine to make this a very desirable and very attractive Pocket Watch!!

The Dial has a very attractive picture of a Western scene. Possibly a Cattle Drive??
The Cobalt Blue Spade hands are mint.
Overall, its very attractive and just a Great Looking Dial!


A Perfect Dial!
No Hairlines, Chips or Cracks.
Just imagine looking at this perfect,
dial, with such an attractive scene on it, whenever you looked at your watch!


The covers fit together so well, that any space between the covers is almost imperceptible!
All details are sharp & crisp!
As this is a solid Nickel Case, it will always keep its bright, shiny surface!


The watch has not been abused.
Take a good look at this movement.
It is beautifully Gilted!
The contast between the silver colored Nickel case, and the very bright gold, Gilted movement, make for a very outstanding and beautiful contrast!
This movement and the watch overall, is in Pristine condition!
The movement is marked;
Elgin Nat'l Watch Co., USA; Seven Jewels; and the serial number 18,992,818.


The back case is in excellent condition with very little wear and only the slightest of scuff marks, which could be easily buffed out!.


The inside of the back of the Case is marked Wadsworth Nickel. It also has the marks of some of the Tradesmen who worked on it, along the way!

The picture was taken on Ford Island, which is the land mass in the middle of
Pearl Harbor, Hawai'i. Ford Island is better known as the home for "Battleship Row".
The sneak attack on Pearl Harbor was centered on Battleship Row.
Btw, my canine "Son's" name is Verge, after the Verge Escapement.
