Professional Opinion:  By extrapolating the data, this watch was made in early August, of the second year that the Rockford Watch Company was in business. Since Rockford actually started business in May of 1877, that means that this watch was made early in the 15th month that the Rockford Watch Company was in existance! As such, I don't need to tell you what an early piece this is and further, what a highly collectable pocket watch this is!

Hello, And Thank You
For Taking The Time To Look At Our Listing!

The front cover opens when you press the button on top of the Crown. The Cobalt Blue Spade Hands are in mint condition! The single sunk, white Porcelain dial is in excellent condition except for a minor scratch at the 53 Minute mark & a missing piece of Porcelain by the 43 and 44 Minute mark, which isn't even noticable with the bezel in place. The dial has Rockford Watch Co. Illinois" written above the hands arbor & finally, the Crystal is made from Glass!!

The covers still fit together so well, that any space between the covers is almost imperceptible!
The Ribbed edges are still sharp & crisp!
Not bad for being over 130 years old!!

This watch has been kept in very good condition! Just take a good look at this movement, its in Pristine condition! The Balance Wheel is still moving very swiftly!! The movement is marked; Rockford Watch Co.; Rockford, Ill.; PAT. PINION; & 36723. The Silver Regulator Arm extends over a Brass Regulator Plate, to allow you to regulate the speed of the watch, which is running very well & keeping very good time!

The front of the case is in excellent condition with only nominal use over the last 130 years of its life! You can see how the front engraving has worn down some, otherwise, the case is in great shape!!

The inside of the front of the Case is marked "FAHYS; COIN; NO. 1; C551".

The outside of the back of the case shows one very small dent & otherwise its in excellent condition & shows a very nice uniform patina! This watch is in very good shape, especially considering its 130+ years of existance!

This picture shows you the inside of the back cover of the watch, where its marked; "FAHYS; COIN; NO. 1; C551". Coin Silver is 80% Pure Silver.

This is a close up shot of the
Winding Hole in the Dust Cover.

Well, that's all I can say. The Photos will tell you what you really want to know about the watch anyway, at least that's what I focus on first!

The price for this piece is $400.00
