Movement:  15 Ruby Jewels; marked "Currier, Springfield, Ill., Patent Pinion"; Sapphire End stone; Regulator extends over a Silver Bar.

Case:  18 size, Open Face, Extra thick glass crystal with NO scratches; the case is unmarked as to the type of metal it's made from, but I'd guess Coin Silver; the case is a Smooth case with Ribbed sides & its in Excellent condition with a nice patina!

Professional Opinion:  This watch was made about 3 months into the second year that the Illinois Watch Company was in business. This is a very, very low serial number and made very, very early in the company's history. As such, the collectability of this watch should be extremely obvious. Don't miss this one!

Hello, And Thank You
For Taking The Time To Look At Our Listing!

This single sunk Porcelain dial is in perfect condition. There are no Hairlines, Cracks, or any mars to detract from the beauty of the dial. The dial is also marked;
ILLINOIS
SPRINGFIELD WATCH Co

A Perfect Dial!
With the bezel removed, you can see that there is absolutely nothing wrong with this immaculate dial!
What a Beauty!!

The covers fit together so well, that
there is no gap at all where the covers meet!
All details are sharp & crisp!
This aspect of the watch, just like
the entire watch, is flawless!

This 15 Jewel movement, which was just about the maximum number of jewels for the older Hunter Cased watches, is in great shape! The movement is marked; "Currier, Springfield, Ill.; Patent Pinion & then the Serial Number 27674".

The Dust Cover shows the Winding Hole and no other mars to detract from the excellent
condition of the watch.

When you look at the inside of the back cover, you see it just as it was made, over 135 years ago, plus some markings from the people who have worked on it. Besides that, all you notice is a notch to fit around the Stem and the flap to open the back of the watch. Besides that, the cover is in excellent condition!

The back oif the cover has some scuff marks, but no serious scratch marks at all. If you wouldn't mind removing the patina, you could polish the case and it would come out beautifully & look just about like it did the day it came off of the Watchmakers bench!

Well, that's all I can say. The Photos will tell you what you really want to know about the watch anyway, at least that's what I focus on first!

The price for this piece is $450.00

This Pocket Watch would make a very nice gift to that special someone, even if that "special someone" is you and your own collection!!
