Hello, And Thank You
For Taking The Time To Look At Our Listing!
Just As A Note, The Watch Is Running Fine, Keeping Good Time, And Should Provide Many More Years Of Excellent Service!!
This Illinois Bunn Special Railroad Pocket Watch has a serial # of 4,896,446, which means it was built in 1926.
The following information will give you a better idea of the capabilities that this Railroad watch has in order to perform its daily
functions and to keep the precision time that Railroad Grade Pocket Watches are known for:
This beautiful absolutely Snowy White Dial is made from porcelain & is double sunk, so the center (where Illinois was
clearly spelt out). To say that the dial was "White" is a drastic understatement, this dial is actually "Snowy White"!!
The dial is almost an absolutely Perfect Dial, except for a small chip, which goes almost unnoticed by the 58 minute mark.
Lastly, the Hands are Lever Set by the Numeral 1, where the small bent lever comes out!
The covers fit together so well, that any space between the covers is almost imperceptible! Just look at how
perfectly smooth and rounded the case details are! Lastly, there is NO Brass showing anywhere on the Case! The case is
perfection personified!!
The Movement is a 60 Hour Movement, with 21 Jewels & is Lever-Set by the 1:00
position. It is adjusted to Temperature & 6 positions. It has screw down, slightly raised Gold Jewel Settings, a full
Gold Train, Gold Balance Screws, Double Rollers, it's built on Nickel Plates, and finally has a
Whip Lash Regulator, so the time can be adjusted to be extremely accurate!! Overall, the movement is truly
a work of art, especially with it being so clean and with all of the Black Lettering being present!
Overall the watch is a joy to watch, especially with the blur of the balance wheel, which has always been a sign
to me of a well functioning timepiece!!

The Balance Wheel has such great speed that it's simply a blur, even at the great speed the camera
catches it at! Then, just on the inside of the balance wheel, you can see "Double Roller" written out. For a watch to be a
true Railroad Grade Pocket Watch, it had to have a Double Roller to ensure that the watch would keep running, in case the watch should be
dropped or some other traumatic event took place!
As is shown in this picture, the case is marked "Keystone Watch Case" & is made by
"J. Boss"; Warranted for "20 Years"; and has a sentiment that says, "From many Friends on 60th
Birthday". May 17, 1928. After that is the serial number for the case and the markings from many of the Watch Makers
who have worked on the watch over its long life!
The case is in excellent condition and there's not even any scuff marks at all!
Since the Case has a "Swing Out" Movement, all you have to do is unscrew the top of the case, lift up on the stem about 1/8"
& then you can lift the Movement up (you'll see a small indentation to put your fingernail, a case opener, or a blunt knife into
to initially pry the movement up with) and then you are all set! Again, the case is in totally immaculate condition, just
as the rest of the watch is!!
Well, that's all I can say. The Photos will tell you what you really want to know about the watch anyway!
The price for this piece is $795
This Pocket Watch would make a very nice gift to that special someone, even if that "special someone" is you and your
own collection!!
