Hello, And Thank You
For Taking The Time To Look At Our Listing!

Just As A Note, The Watch Is Running Fine, Keeping Good Time, And Should Provide Many More Years Of Excellent Service!!

The front of this nicely engraved 16 size Elgin Case actually has initials in the Cartouche! Albeit a bit worn, you can make out the initials, "B.B.D.". Unfortunately, this Gentleman's name and any information about him is lost in time, except of course for these 3 initials...isn't that part of the wonder of these great old watches??

A truly Great Dial! No Hairlines, Chips or Cracks to mar any aspect of its Beauty! Just a perfect dial, that has been sitting there in place, having never been harmed for the last 115 years!!!

The watch is Lever Set between the Numerals 4 & 5.

The covers fit together so well, that any space between the covers is almost imperceptible!
All details are sharp & crisp!
There is no Brass showing anywhere on the Case!
Finally, the case opens by itself, but it opens just past the 90 degree mark, by about 15 to 20 degrees. So it doesn't open way too far, but it is a bit past the 90 degree mark. A simple problem to solve, if you should wish to!

The watch has not been abused.
Take a good look at this movement.
This movement is in Pristine condition & it's marked;
Elgin National Watch Company;
Safety Pinion;
& then has its Serial #5501360.

The Balance Wheel has such great speed that it's simply a blur, even at the speed the camera catches it at! That is a sign that the movement has recently been serviced, which it has & that its functioning in absolutely perfect condition!!

The Dust Cover for this watch is in excellent condition, especially considering its 115 years of service!

The engraved portion of the back of the case shows you a scene of a Dog with some Hunter's standing around the pup! So even after 110+ years, some scenes still make it through the many years that have passed!! Just think of how many times it has been pulled in and out of so many pockets, how many different people have looked at it, and what the watch itself has seen!!

Well, that's all that I can really say.
The Photos will tell you what you
really want to know about the watch anyway!

The price for this piece is $345

This Pocket Watch would make a very nice gift to that special someone, even if that "special someone" is you and your own collection!!
