Professional Opinion:This is a very Elegant & Non-Ostentatious Hunters Case Pocket Watch. It has Nickel Plates, the maximum number of Jewels (or considered "Fully Jeweled" for its era, and its a very high quality watch, all the way around!! There's no way you could miss with this one!

Hello, And Thank You
For Taking The Time To Look At Our Listing!

Just As A Note, The Watch Is Running Fine, Keeping Good Time, And Should Provide Many More Years Of Excellent Service!!

Just look at how elegantly engraved the scrollwork is done on the covers of this immaculate watch!! There are initials on the front and they're at the bottom of the front cover. They are further enhanced by the ring and the elegant scrollwork surronding it!!

The inside of the front cover is totally clean and just shows the serial number for the case, 8017719. Besides that, its totally clean and in the same shape as the day it was made, over a Century ago!!

A Perfect Dial!
No Hairlines, Chips or Cracks.
Roman Numerals for the Hour Chapter Ring and the Minutes are marked in Red Arabic numerals.
This is just a perfect dial all the way around!!

The Hands are Lever Set between
the Numerals IIII & IV.

The covers fit together so well, that any space between the covers is almost imperceptible!
All or the details are sharp, crisp and beautiful!
There is no Brass showing anywhere on the Case! In fact, the case has a 25 Year Guarantee (back when the case was made, the Guarantee was that the watch wouldn't have any Brass showing for 25 years, or the case would be replaced); but with the care that people treat these watches today, I'd bet you that there wouldn't be any brass showing for at least a 100 more years!! But that's also judging them by the way I treat them, with care, and rotating them so I don't wear the same watch every day!!

The watch has not been abused at all!!
Take a good look at this movement, it's in Pristine condition! It's also a Great example of very early damaskeening! The Movement is what was considered to be "Fully Jeweled" back then and it's also what anyone would call "One Beauty of a Movement!!

The Balance Wheel has such great speed that it's simply a blur, even at the speed the camera catches it at! Please excuse the hair, but I never even saw it until I increased the size of the picture by several times! But not to worry though, that hair and any others that may have existed, are long gone and the watch is in excellent running condition!!

The inside of the Dust Cover is marked "J. Boss & Guaranteed for 25 Years" (not to show any Brass)". Below that, is the Serial # for the watch case, 80177119.

The inside of the back of the Case is marked "J. Boss" & then has the emblem for "Guanteed for 25 Years (not to show any Brass)". Below that, is the Serial Number for the watch case. But even though these watches were Guarrenteed not to show any Brass for 25 Years, its now over a Century old & still not showing any Brass. So with the way these watches are taken care of now, it probably won't show any Brass for another Century or maybe two Centurys, or 3/4/5 or MORE!!! All you have to do is take care of your watch....

Just look at how elegantly engraved the scrollwork is done on the back cover of this immaculate watch!! Just as there were initials on the front, there is a "Lighthouse" on the bottom of the back! And they are further enhanced by the ring and the elegant scrollwork surrounding it!!

Well, that's all that I can really say.
The Photos will tell you what you really want to know about the watch anyway!

The price for this piece is $455.00

This Pocket Watch would make a very nice gift to that special someone, even if that "special someone" is you and your own collection!!
