90-Day Duration Clock by Franz Lehrner
The 90-day Vienna Regulator was made by Franz Lehrner, in Wien (Vienna) Austria,
circa 1845. Franz Lehrner was listed as a Viennese Master from 1800 to 1846.
The case is Walnut with an Alder dyed top and finial, and measures 53 ¼" in
height, 15 ½" wide, and 6 ¾" deep. The clock has a dead beat escapement,
maintaining power, a two-tiered porcelain dial
with a piecrust bezel, a brass insert, and brass keyhole. The clock also has
the original wooden pendulum rod and a double-sided brass bob. The clock is
circa 1845, so it was made during the middle of the Biedermier period.
