Joseph Johnson 18 Kt Multi Colored Fusee Circa 1810
This beautiful lever fusee has an 18 Kt gold case and a gold dial that is ringed
in multi-colored flowers. In the center of the dial is a vase pouring
multi-colored flowers over the gold hands. One of the unique features of this
watch is that its seconds bit rotates once ever 15 seconds and it has a stop
watch feature. So this was a watch that belonged to Royalty and was used for
timing Quarter Horses. The movement also has "Window" jewels, which were called
that due to their large size, and a "Bull's Eye" Crystal. The movement is
signed Joseph Johnson, 26 Church Street, Liverpool.
