Miniature One Weight Vienna Regulator
Circa 1870

This miniature Viennese Regulator was made by Jacob Weber, in Wien (Vienna), Austria and is housed in a very attractive Walnut case. Jacob Weber was listed as a Viennese Master in 1847 and made this Transitional Miniature circa 1870. Miniatures were used to show the potential buyers the quality of the merchandise they would receive, as the vendors had a much easier time carrying the small clocks rather than the full size versions. So miniatures were typically made with a higher quality of craftsmanship. This clock has half columns and original top. 28" in height by 10" wide by 5 ¼" deep.
