Hello & Welcome to
A Place In Time, Inc.!

Miniature made by Wenzel Schönberger
Circa 1855

This miniature was made by Wenzel Schönberger circa 1855 in Wien (Vienna, Austria) as is indicated on the dial. Miniatures were used to show the potential buyers the quality of the merchandise they would receive, as the vendors had a much easier time carrying the small clocks rather than the full size versions. So miniatures were typically made with a higher quality of craftsmanship. The clock measures 26 ¾" by 8" wide by 4 ½" deep.
